Today’s hottest topic by far on the Web is… ‘FaceBook Lite’. Articles say FaceBook has launched the ‘Lite’ version in India and the USA, but it doesn’t seem to be available to all users there. I tried logging in http://lite.facebook.com/ from my computer assigned an USA IP address with three accounts. I could make it with only one account. When I logged in with the other two, I was redirected to the current full version.
No apps. No chat.
When an access to a page requiring authentication is attempted without login.
Just now, I read a simple tip making Lite available at http://thenextweb.com/uk/2009/09/11/facebook-lite-uk-invites/. Set the language to English (US). And it also says Lite is now available in more countries including UK and Israel.
I don’t use FaceBook. I have better time to spend working on neural networks.
